The journalism bug bit me young.
My earliest memories involve a busy newsroom in Los Angeles. My father, a journalist, used to bring me along to his job at NBC News. For years, I dreamed of becoming a news anchor or a field reporter traveling the world.
By high school and college, I developed a passion for print media. I earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and worked my way up to editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper. I continued my studies in Dublin, Ireland, where I earned a master’s degree in marketing and worked on projects for international clients.
When I came home to the states, I worked in various roles that blended my two loves of journalism and marketing. In 2016, I took a big leap of faith. I quit my 9-5 job as a copywriter for an advertising agency to start my own freelance writing business. As of 2024, I’m celebrating 15 years in the industry.
